PLC Specialist

  • Have a good understanding of MOG HSE rules
  • Understand MOG policies and apply them
  • Respect and apply HSE rules, in particular for Permit to Work


  • Assist the planning team by giving any technical support for the preparation of the jobs in his discipline
  • Enter intervention reports in the CMMS and write the technical reports related to your field
  • Monitor the functioning of utilities and equipment systems which are under your responsibility
  • Perform the diagnostics and trouble shooting in the PLC system: Siemens Step 7, Honeywell & Allen Bradley
  • Carry out on request, any intervention within his field of competence
  • Follow-up the parameter values and alarm in the concerned systems, for condition monitoring purpose
  • Perform maintenance tasks on hardware systems


  • Guaranty that control system documentation is up to date
  • Propose any relevant action to improve performance and availability of control system
  • Warn support teams of any recurring problems related to the availability or quality of spare parts
  • Guaranty that software produced for modification or corrective actions are in conformity with functional analysis
  • Assistance to Troubleshooting cause of malfunction or derive, in relation with PLC supervisors
  • Assistance to Instrument & Electrical team for preventive or corrective maintenance


  • Ensure that maintenance operations under your responsibility are carried out in strict accordance with the COMPANY’s current safety rules and operating procedures and in accordance with standard industry practice, thereby guaranteeing the quality of maintenance operations, within your field, carried out on site by the CONTRACTOR
  • You play a predominant role in the transfer of skills to personnel undergoing training by mentoring on site


  • Higher National Diploma or Certificate or equivalent in Computer Science
  • 10 to 15 years’ experience in the maintenance field on oil and gas production installations
  • A basic knowledge of Maintenance Engineering topics
  • Specific professional knowledge: CMMS / PLC systems / Control systems
  • Ability to work in a large multinational team
  • Good Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Specific professional certified/qualified (Instrument-Control) in Gas Turbine GT-300
  • A good knowledge of the process of oil and gas treatment, installations and a thorough knowledge of the equipment used in oil and gas treatment installations
