We are looking for our Mechanical OJT Trainer to accompany our teams based in Angola. This position is on a rotational basis, based onshore with On Job training offshore in Luanda, Angola.


MAIN DUTIES

  • You coordinate the training process of the Mechanical section personnel to ensure a highly competent maintenance team for the Pazflor plant.
  • You design, develop, deliver and revise technical and safety training modules and courses that provide for both theoretical and on-the-job and safety training. You manage course material (print out, distribution...)
  • You guide the trainee how to determine fault skillfully and apply appropriate method of repair and maintenance
  • You provide analysis and determine training needs and gaps for individuals and groups, and make recommendations for solutions to bridge the gaps.
  • You assess trainees’ competency requirements, certify personnel as per level of competency,
  • You identify Mechanical staff training needs, develop training plan and ensure implementation
  • You carry out competency assessment and verification, monitor and follow up progress and maintain accurate record of their progress, attendance and punctuality
  • You establish and keep contacts with external training providers and service partners.
  • You assist in the development of standard operating procedures, policy and practice regarding training & development.


TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • You have developed skills in workshop and field safety
  • You have a theoretical and practical experience in workshop in the Oil & Gas industry
  • You are an expert in mechanical shaft alignment process, pipes assembling process, pumps, piping system, compressors, engines, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics, turbines, analysis and break down diagnostic.


PROFILE

  • Higher National Diploma (HND), or equivalent level in Mechanical Engineering is essential.
  • 5 years minimum as a Maintenance Specialist in the Petrochemical industry and 2 years experience as a Trainer with emphasis on On-Job-Training (OJT) are mandatory.
  • Knowledgeable in workplace learning and/ or competence based training and assessment would be a distinct advantage.
  • Language: Fluent Portuguese and advanced English are required.
