Key missions

Under the supervision of the Operations and Maintenance Tendering Manager, you are responsible to deal with prequalification and tenders for O&M of onshore and offshore energy facilities.


MAIN FUNCTIONS

  • Review the ITT (Invitation to Tender) specifications so to identify the actual scope of work required by the client Develop and co-ordinate Contract winning solutions considering pricing and commercial strategy to meet or exceed Customer requirements with support from Tendering Manager
  • Challenge convention and explore all avenues to meet Customer expectations and minimize business risk and costs
  • Develop the technical, commercial and financial solutions as the bid progresses in conjunction with supporting subsidiaries. Work closely with the Tendering Manager to ensure a thorough understanding of the solutions and customer needs
  • Ensure proposals adhere to consistent corporate standards customer schedule and target cost
  • Select and qualify in the offer the experiences that Dietsmann has achieved while performing contracts worldwide
  • Work closely with the Tendering Manager in the definition of the economical qualification of the offer
  • Answer, together with the other team members, to the requests for clarification received by Client and update the technical offer, if required.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To review the ITT (Invitation To Tender) specifications so to identify the Scope of Work (SOW) and strategic information
  • To define with interested Country/Branch the strategy or way-forward to apply
  • To constructively challenge Country point of view in regards to Group projects feedback
  • To describe the O&M methodology according to which Dietsmann will perform the service (this task is often referred to as "editing of the technical offer")
  • To select and qualify the experiences that Dietsmann has achieved while performing contracts worldwide (preparation of "reference list")
  • To qualify/quantify the resources and means necessary to perform the SOW
  • To deal with all commercial and cost estimation / enquiries aspects associated with SOW requirements
  • To present a genuine interest in finding alternative solution to SOW performance
  • To prepare and follow up progress meetings (Tender Kick-Off, Progress review, Finance review, pre-RTR) are held (including minute preparation and way forward) with appropriate attendees
  • To ensure that insurance, tax (including Contract’ registration), exchange rates, inflation and cashflow requirements are estimated and/or qualified, with necessary finance approvals
  • To present officially during RTR the ITT in terms of SOW, P&L, contingencies, risks, etc.
  • To answer, together with the other members of the Tendering Team, to the requests for clarification received by Client and if necessary to update the technical/commercial offer

Candidate profile

Must have:

  • High standard of written and spoken English
  • Capability to clearly explain working methodology to Management
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and direction
  • Aptitude to deal with pressure from Top Management
  • Degree in Engineering (Industrial disciplines preferred)
  • Demonstrable knowledge techniques and experience of estimating tools
  • Technical and practical understanding of maintenance methods and techniques as applicable to the oil and gas industry
  • Capacity to deal with multiple and demanding deadlines

Nice to have:

  • On the field operational experience
  • Experience with Operation & Maintenance Contracts
  • Knowledge of Computer assisted Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Oil & Gas and/or Power Plant operation knowledge
  • Maintenance Engineering understanding
  • Acquaintance with Gas Turbine environment
  • Knowledge of other foreign languages is appreciated (Arabic, Portuguese, French)
