Key missions
As a PLC/ICSS specialist you have the following responsibilities:
- Ensure
that Company HSE regulations (particularly work permit procedures) as well
as approved operating procedures and industry standard practices are
complied with carrying out maintenance operations under your
responsibility.
- Record intervention
reports in the CMMS (including those related to SMC) and writes technical
reports related to your field of expertise.
- Perform
diagnostics and troubleshooting in PLC and ICSS (including PLC package).
- Follow
parameter values and alarms in dedicated systems, recording events
log.
- Perform
preventive & curative maintenance at the request of the instrumental
supervisor or of the company, you carry out any intervention in your field
of competence.
- You are a member of the site's emergency response team.
- Propose
all relevant actions to improve the performance and availability of the
control system.
- Notifiy
support teams of any recurring issues related to spare parts availability
or quality.
- Ensure
that the software implemented for changes or corrective actions complies
with the functional analysis. Ensure control system documentation is up
to date, at time of call
- You are a member of the on-call service team
- You are responsible for the integrity and follow-up of the software and
hardware and interfaces with the PLC.
- Ensure
that maintenance operations under your responsibility are carried out in
strict accordance with current safety regulations and Company operating
procedures and according to standard industry practices, thus ensuring the
quality of maintenance operations within your field.
- Play
a predominant role in transferring skills to trainees through on-site
mentoring.
Candidate profile
- Bachelor's
or HNC Certification, A-level + 3 years of study, Master's and/or Master's
degree (or Chartered Engineer, A-levels + 5 years of study).
- At
least 2 years of experience in the control systems industry. A junior
profile with growth potential can also be considered.
- A
knowledge of oil and gas processing plant process and equipment principles
is appreciated.
- Specific
professional knowledge: CMMS: SAP / R3 / multiple PLC systems.
- Ability
to work in a large multinational team.
- Ability
to work independently while maintaining good relationships with colleagues
and others.
- Working
languages: English and Italian.
- Knowledge
of electrical enablement requirements and required certification
(including also PES / PEI according to CEI 11-27 / 1 and CEI EN 50110-1)
- Must
show common sense and be able to anticipate and analyze activities.
