QUALITY PROJECT MANAGER

Local contract (in accordance with the legislation of the country)

Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for quality assurance and control of assigned projects
  • Acquires in-depth knowledge of company’s quality policy, manuals, procedures and systems
  • Studies and gets acquainted with client’s quality requirements
  • Provides inputs in the bidding stage in regard to required resources and expected costs of quality
  • Drafts quality plan for the project and obtains (where required) client’s approval
  • Performs quality control as planned – inspections, tests and reports, maintains all project quality records
  • In charge of coordinating and monitoring external parties’ (laboratories) work
  • Responsible for liaising with client’s quality manager and supervisory authorities
  • Provides regular reports and keeps management and production staff informed about changes to quality plan

Your Profile:

  • Educational background in engineering (mechanical, civil, electrical, chemical or industrial)
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a project quality manager, a few years’ experience as field quality inspector will be a plus
  • Good knowledge of quality standards applicable to steel structures (e.g. welding, corrosion protection etc.), civil works (e.g. concrete works, reinforcement, backfill, pavements etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of quality systems (e.g. ISO, TQM) coupled with some experience in implementation and maintenance
  • Practical experience in industrial environment – petro-chemical, power plants, chemical plants or other production facilities
  • Good communication skills, working knowledge of written and spoken English is a must
  • Team player with good understanding of the various roles and functions within a project team
