Key missions

You will coordinate and execute with the Maintenance Planning Supervisor under the Company policies and Safety & Environment Standard, the following tasks, for SD/TAR of Sabratha Platform equipment:

  • Ensure that all shutdown related activities have been accurately scoped, correctly resourced and that all required materials to address the activities are available to meet scheduled shutdown delivery commitments.

  • Lead the offshore multi discipline team in shutdown preparation scope and delivery ensuring Company integrity processes, procedures and management of change are adhered to.

  • Take ownership of shutdown preparations offshore activities as required, including site visits.

  • Ensure that the onshore resource requirements are identified to fully develop the shutdown and support the offshore team during implementation.

  • Conduct meetings with all onshore/offshore department heads and focal points for shutdown preparations, planning and development in accordance with success criteria.

  • Maintain action tracking system with optimum flow of shutdown information to all parties concerned.

  • Monitor and identify progress in shutdown planning and identify conflicts and/or clashes and implement corrective actions.

  • Ensuring all onshore and offshore resource including manpower, materials, consumables etc. requirements for shutdown are planned and sourced in a timely manner to avoid any unwarranted delays.

  • Follow up with onshore Maintenance Discipline Engineers and carry over the tasks with site application.


Candidate profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or engineering technology, of an recognized University, MBA is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill, in English

  • Safety Training

    • T-BOSIET certificate OPITO or STCW

    • OPITO Basic Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) Training

  • At least with 10 years’ experience in oil & gas industry, onshore and offshore, SD TAR preparation and coordinator.
  • Demonstrable experience working offshore in an engineering, construction engineering or maintenance environment.

  • Experience and good understanding of onshore and offshore oil & gas plant , maintenance activities and operations.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Shutdown requirements and practices.

  • Competent in the use of MS Office applications; Microsoft Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, MAXIMO.

  • Experience in Piping design and stress analysis; Isometrics, P&ID
