As an Accountant, you will be responsible for the accounting of the supervised entities in Africa, in compliance with the standards of the relevant countries, covering accounting, taxation, payroll, and various social aspects.
You will work closely with local contacts within the subsidiaries (both operational and administrative), as well as with the Group’s accountants. Reporting to the Chief Accountant based in Monaco, your main responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
General Accounting:
Receiving and verifying accounting information from subsidiaries.
Recording and classifying accounting documents in compliance with accounting principles (IFRS).
Performing month-end closing activities.
Preparing local tax returns (VAT, CIT, etc.).
Preparing monthly reconciliations (bank, cash, payroll, taxes, fixed assets, etc.).
Establishing and monitoring intercompany recharges.
Performing account reconciliations, analysis, and investigations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Contributing to the preparation of audit files and financial statements.
Analytical Accounting:
Monthly review and analysis of revenues and costs allocated to each project in collaboration with project managers.
Preparing project analytical tracking reports and providing explanations for key variances.
The Accountant will also participate in administrative projects such as the implementation of new IT tools, strengthening internal controls, and supporting local teams.
Degree in Accounting (BTS, BUT, or equivalent) with at least 3 years of experience in an accounting firm or international company.
Strong knowledge of general accounting.
Good understanding of IFRS standards.
Team spirit, dynamism, rigor, organizational skills, and ability to take initiative.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in IT tools, with advanced Excel skills required.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Willingness to travel to subsidiaries when required.
