Key missions

For a new project in Angola with ENI we are seeking a dedicated and organized Crop Coordinator to join our agricultural team. The Crop Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of crop production, ensuring the efficient and successful growth of our crops. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Crop Coordinator will collaborate with various teams to ensure the timely planting, nurturing, and harvesting of crops, while maintaining the highest quality standards.


Responsibilities:


1. Plan and coordinate all activities related to crop production, including planting, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and harvesting.


2. Develop and implement crop production schedules, considering factors such as weather conditions, market demand, and resource availability.


3. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure the timely availability of seeds, fertilizers, and other necessary inputs.


4. Monitor crop growth and health, regularly inspecting fields and greenhouses to identify and address any issues or abnormalities.


5. Implement and maintain best practices for crop cultivation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.


6. Work closely with the farm manager to develop and implement crop management plans, including pest and disease control strategies.


7. Coordinate with the operations team to ensure the efficient use of resources, such as water, fertilizers, and equipment.


8. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to crop production, including planting dates, yields, and crop inputs.


9. Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that crops meet the required standards for size, color, and overall quality.


10. Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to forecast crop yields and plan for future market demand.


11. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in crop production techniques, incorporating best practices into our operations.


12. Train and supervise farm workers, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to crop production protocols and safety procedures.


13. Monitor and manage inventory levels of crop-related supplies, ensuring an adequate stock is maintained.



Candidate profile

1. Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related field.

2. Proven experience in crop production or a similar role within the agriculture industry.

3. Strong knowledge of crop cultivation techniques, including planting, fertilization, irrigation, and pest control.

4. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.

5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

6. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with strong collaboration and communication skills.

7. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.

8. Proficient in using agricultural software and tools for crop management and record-keeping.

9. Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.

10. Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
