Mechanical Rotating Equipment Specialist

Key missions

Under the responsibility of the company Mechanical Rotating and Static Supervisor you will coordinate and execute the following tasks:

• Carry out Routine Maintenance, Troubleshoot , repair ,overhaul , and carry out all types of maintenance to plant rotating equipment existing in Sabratha Platform e.g., pumps , gas /air compressors (screw and reciprocating), air blowers, gear boxes, turbine auxiliary equipment, different types and manufacture (e.g. Flowserve, Aturia, BHGE, Peroni...)

• Disassemble equipment to be repaired or overhauled, check visually and dimensionally parts and units by sliding gauges; micrometric gauges centesimal comparators, compare values found with those on manufacture tolerance & maintenance reference tables.

• Carry out preventive maintenance of machinery according to schedules, check list and specific equipment requirements. This includes changing oils, filters, grease. general overhaul of the equipment. Repair or replace defective parts, reassembles overhauled equipment, and carry out the necessary tests and performance monitoring upon start up and handover to production/operation.

• Assist in planning annual shutdown and major equipment TAR and carry out complete overhauling of equipment.

• Strong knowledge and experience in CBM and vibration monitoring and interpret skills.

• Should be able to read/analyze vibration spectra and identify root causes of vibration issues on rotating equipment.

• Assist in inspection of equipment for its healthiness.

• Strict adherence to Plant Safety Protocol and good housekeeping.

• Use and able to interpret technical manual and manufacturer tolerance values.

• Perform machinery alignment according to standard alignment methods.

• Perform Technical Investigation & root causes analysis.

• Able to issue a basic technical report .

• Relay all significant technical information or data to the supervisor that could be useful for future jobs or maintenance plan.

• Adhere and follow up company PTW procedure.

Candidate profile

• High school diploma or equivalent as technical rotating equipment. Technical degree / bachelor’s degree in engineering is a plus.
• At least 10 years’ experience in Rotating Mechanical Maintenance in the Oil and Gas Industry, preferably gas plants.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Training, Certified as Pruftechnik or similar in vibration systems, Rotalign devices

• Certificate for lifting

• Safety Trainings:

  • T-BOSIET certificate OPITO or STCW

  • OPITO Basic Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) Training 

• Able to use MAXIMO 7.6,CMMS system in tracking and WO’s Workflow and prepare daily activity report.
