Key missions
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components, specifically focused on clamps and skids. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD for creating precise technical drawings and designs that meet project requirements, safety standards, and client specifications.
Your main tasks include but are not limited to:
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components, including clamps and skids, using AutoCAD to produce detailed 2D and 3D models and technical drawings.
- Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, fabricators, and clients, to understand design requirements, specifications, and project scope.
- Conduct structural and mechanical analysis to ensure designs meet safety, functionality, and durability requirements.
- Create and review design documentation, such as CAD drawings, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and technical specifications, for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and adherence to project timelines.
- Perform revisions and modifications to designs based on client feedback, production requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide technical support during the fabrication and installation stages, including troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues.
- Ensure all design work is aligned with industry standards, safety guidelines, and best practices.
Candidate profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, with specific experience in designing clamps and skids.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D and 3D modeling; experience with additional design software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) is a plus.
- Familiarity with mechanical design principles, materials, and fabrication processes, particularly in clamps and skid systems.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations related to mechanical systems and components.
- Proven experience creating detailed technical drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on precision and quality.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.

Language: Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
