Key missions
The Electrical Supervisor is the Maintenance Leader for all
electrical systems and equipment on offshore facilities. This position is
critical for ensuring the safety, reliability, and operational readiness of
electrical systems to support continuous production. The Electrical Supervisor
will coordinate with the facilities team, provide technical expertise, and
guide the electrical team in maintaining high standards of safety and
performance.
- Health,
Safety, and Environment (HSE):
- Participate
in HSE audits, report anomalies, and conduct inspections of electrical
systems across the plant.
- Ensure
compliance with HSE regulations and promote a strong safety culture.
- Communicate
electrical instructions to prevent Near Miss incidents and ensure team
understanding.
- Electrical
Maintenance Leadership:
- Act
as the point of authority for all electrical maintenance issues on the
offshore facilities.
- Provide
clear direction to resolve or redesign electrical challenges, ensuring
plant reliability and integrity.
- Maintain
and oversee all electrical motors, including their functionality and
maintenance schedules.
- Manage
and prioritize electrical Work Permits and provide guidance on electrical
job execution.
- Technical
Expertise and Documentation:
- Review
current electrical drawings and loop diagrams, ensuring they are
accurate, up-to-date, and authorized.
- Advise
on electrical priorities for the Facilities Team and ensure timely
execution of related projects.
- Compile
and distribute detailed reports, contributing to management team
handovers as requested.
- Training
and Competency Development:
- Assess
and mentor electrical personnel on their competency levels, identifying
and implementing necessary training.
- Periodically
review performance and provide feedback to improve team capabilities.
- Operational
Support:
- Provide
operational support to restart electrical power generation as needed.
- Troubleshoot
and clarify electrical issues during root cause analysis studies to
prevent recurrence.
- Engineer
solutions to enhance plant availability and equipment integrity.
- Materials
and Spare Parts Management:
- Fully
support the Materials Maintenance Management System (MMMS).
- Address
challenges related to the intermittent supply of materials and spare
parts, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
- Specialized
Systems Maintenance:
- Maintain
and troubleshoot critical systems, including gas turbines, generator
circuit breakers, excitation systems, UPS, inverters, and rectifiers.
- Ensure
the proper operation and maintenance of 6Kv (MV CBs, MV DSs) and 330Kv
switchyard (HV CBs, HV DSs, HV ESs).
Candidate profile
- Bachelor’s
degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum
of 10 years of experience in power generation, operations on mature assets.
- Proven
experience with mobile and fixed electrical infrastructure, including
system design and functionality.
- In-depth
knowledge of gas turbine systems, generator circuit breakers, excitation
systems, UPS, inverters, and rectifiers.
- Expertise
in maintaining and troubleshooting medium- and high-voltage systems,
including 6Kv and 330Kv systems.
- Strong
understanding of internal mechanics and rotating equipment.
- Excellent
analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong
written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey
complex technical concepts.
- Self-driven,
resilient, and pragmatic with a focus on team development and
collaboration.
- Working
languages: English and Portuguese.
