Under the responsibility of the Team Leader you will provide a high degree of instrument maintenance knowledge to the maintenance execution teams of the Sabratha field, in particular:
Carry out regular technical inspections and audits on production facilities to ensure optimum, safe utilization of equipment and improve availability.
Advise the Team Leader on equipment, procedures, and systems.
Maintain a structured interaction and exchange of information with the Maintenance Engineering section.
Carry out in depth analysis of facilities/equipment to determine areas for possible improvement.
Find adequate solutions to technical problems.
Take the lead in the repair of all instrument equipment.
Liaise with other departments to review, commission, and accept all new instrument projects.
Issue relevant Certificates of Inspection for equipment Calibration as per Company Procedure and international standards.
Identify opportunities for the application of Risk Based Inspection and maintenance techniques with the objective to minimize intervention and improve overall performance.
Take in charge of the Instrument Workshop and provide a service to the instrument equipment, training engineers and technicians.
Ensure that maintenance plans and schedules are made by the Planning section and provide input to these plans.
Familiarize with the use of MAXIMO 7.6 version.
Familiarize all instrument technology such as but not limited:
Flow, Level, Pressure,Temperature Measurements
DCS and ESD Automation Control Logic Systems
PLC
Safety equipment
Fire and Gas equipment
Wellhead Control Panel.
Takeover/cover duties, responsibilities, accountabilities, and tasks of team members which are not on site of working in the field.
Provide mentorship for the development of Instrument technical professionals.
Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Automation, Electrical or recognized Engineering University
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in English

OPITO Basic Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) Training
At least with 10 years’ experience as an Automation Maintenance senior technician or similar role within the Oil and Gas industry
